NMKR Pay webapp on desktop and mobile

Crypto payment experiences are often slow, intransparent and complicated.

NMKR Pay is different. By abstracting the underlying blockchain complexity and wrapping it in a seamless user experience, we built a payment solution with over 97% conversion rate.

With NMKR Pay, sellers can accept payments with Cardano's currency ADA, credit cards, Cardano tokens, or trade-in NFTs. With a consistent flow of improved releases, we facilitated over 250k crypto transactions in the first year.

Three steps: Select your payment method, Pay with crypto or credit card, Receive your blockchain asset

A cross-platform payment solution that works frictionless for web3 enthausiasts and beginners.

A tool for creators

NMKR Pay can be integrated into any website via a simple checkout button. Using wallets instead of user accounts means no sign-up process is needed to make a purchase. Creators can sell tokens anywhere they want to their audience.

Mr. Worldwide

I'm proud of the international accessibility and availability we achieved by supporting multiple languages almost from the beginning. Making sure the design works for any language was an exciting design challenge.

Onboarding new users

To receive blockchain tokens, users need to have a wallet. For many first-time users, this is too effortful and complicated to set up. We eliminated this hurdle by providing a "paper wallet" which is created on the fly for users to download as a temporary wallet.

Scaling the feature set

Over time we were able to support more and more customizations. For example, a queue system, countdowns, allowlists and blocklists, and many additional layers of information made the process transparent and convenient for the user.

The design process was based on the good stuff: quantitative data, qualitative interviews and iterative testing.

To ensure a high level of usability and accessibility, we regularly run remote tests and analytics via various tools. To validate more complex concepts, we also interviewed users. Additionally, we presented features in the NMKR Discord and on Twitter for immediate validation and feedback.

NMKR is a fully distributed team, working remotely

Being at NMKR meant working in a remote beehive.

NMKR was founded by three young technology and crypto enthusiasts during the crypto hype in 2021. I took the risk and joined as their first product designer. I was able to actively contribute to their rapid growth from a small project to a successful company.

We established agile design processes and development workflows, building multiple web apps and services for web3 use cases. I especially enjoyed the fast development cycles that allowed the design team to experiment, validate, and iterate with the development team to find the best possible solution for complex problems.
